The Girl Standard delivers practical programmes that build confidence, strengthen relationships and prepare people for real life situations.
From navigating friendships and growing up, to preparing for the workplace and moving through major life transitions, our sessions give people skills they can understand, practice and use beyond the session.
GIRLS & SCHOOLS
IDEAL FOR: Primary schools - Secondary schools - Girls' groups - Youth organisations
DELIVERY: One-off workshops - Multi-week programmes - Bespoke sessions
Helping girls navigate friendships, relationships and growing up without losing confidence in who they are.
Girl friendships can be an enormous source of belonging, but the comparison, exclusion, changing friendship groups, and peer pressure can also affect how girls see themselves and what they believe they are capable of.
The Girl Standard creates a safe, practical space for girls to explore these experiences and develop healthier ways of responding to them.
Sessions use discussion, relatable scenarios and practical activities to explore friendship dynamics, boundaries, comparison, exclusion, communication, self-worth, speaking up and aiming high.
Programmes can be delivered as one-off workshops or a series of sessions and adapted for different age groups and school needs.
FUTURE READY
IDEAL FOR: Secondary schools - Colleges - Youth organisations
DELIVERY: Workshops - Work-readiness sessions - Bespoke programmes
Giving young people the practical skills to step confidently into education, employment and adult life.
Young people are often expected to arrive in the workplace knowing how to communicate professionally, introduce themselves, speak confidently to adults and navigate unfamiliar situations - yet they may have had few opportunities to actually practice these skills.
Future Ready gives young people that opportunity.
Through real life scenarios, discussion and practical activities young people practice face-to-face communication, eye contact, introductions and handshakes, presenting yourself, speaking to adults and employers, handling unfamiliar situations, workplace expectations and professional behaviour.
Future Ready is designed for boys and girls and can support schools, colleges and organisations preparing young people for work experience, further education, employment and adult life.
WOMEN & COMMUNITIES
IDEAL FOR: Community organisations - Employers - Colleges - Women's groups
DELIVERY: One-off workshops - Group programmes - Bespoke sessions
Supporting women to rebuild confidence and move forward through change, transition and new opportunities.
Confidence can be affected at many stages of adult life - returning to work, changing career, raising a family, redundancy, entering education or simply reaching a point where you want something different.
The Girl Standard delivers practical, supportive workshops that help women recognise their strengths, challenge what may be holding them back and build the confidence to take their next step.
Sessions can explore confidence, strengths, communication, self-advocacy, presenting yourself, goal-setting, navigating change and moving forward.
Workshops can be tailored for community organisations, employers, education providers and other groups supporting women.
NOT SURE WHICH PROGRAMME IS RIGHT FOR YOUR GROUP?
Every group is different. The Girl Standard can tailor sessions to the age, needs, and outcomes of your school, college, organisation or community.
